IT managers are increasingly using IT automation to manage the expanding technology universe and increase efficiency. The goal is to automate manual, repetitive tasks in areas such as infrastructure management, service management, cybersecurity and application deployment. However, challenges remain, including cost reduction, increased productivity and faster problem resolution. The increasing influence of artificial intelligence (GenAI) is adding new capabilities to existing automation toolsets and introducing new options. The combination of RPA and AI, along with machine learning (ML) and other tools such as process mining, has created another automation category: hyperautomation. This trend is taking on greater importance due to the economic uncertainty and the increasing demand for operational efficiency. Financial services technology firm Fiserv is using hyperautonomation to extract service level agreement (SLA) data from contracts and is using this approach to extract financial data within contracts.
