Scott Technology has secured its third automation project with Rio Tinto in Australia, automating the minerals laboratory at the West Angelas mine site. Led by Scott’s Rocklabs business unit, the project aims to improve safety and optimise laboratory operations across the site and aligns with Rios commitment to sustainable mining practices. The semi-automated system will process up to 700 samples per day, reducing the need for manual handling and increasing operational efficiency. The project builds on Scott Technologys decade-long partnership with Rio Tinto and reinforces its leadership in automation.
