North Dakota businesses have two weeks left to submit their applications for the Automation Tax Credit, which is available for primary sector businesses that purchased automation equipment in 2024. The tax credit, which provides up to 15% to cover the cost of the equipment used to automate manual processes, can be leased or bought. Applicants must be certified as a primary sector business through Commerce and have taken ownership of automation equipment during the 2024 calendar year. Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by the Economic Development and Finance Division (ED&F).
