Schneider Electric has secured a contract to power and automate Indias largest Water Treatment Plant in Bhandup, Mumbai. The plant, which processes 2000 million litres per Day (MLD) of water daily, will be instrumental in the Government of Maharashtras mission to provide potable water to 22 million inhabitants. Once completed and operational, Schneider Electrics EcoStruxure solutions will power and automatise the plants processes, ensuring secure and efficient operations. The project will establish the plant as the largest single water treatment complex in India and integrate with Schneider Electric’s existing Water Command and Control Centre.
