BMF Port Burgas, private operator, has invested in artificial intelligent (AI) driven gate automation technology for its container terminal, Advanced Container Terminal (ACT) Burgas. The investment is part of BMF Ports modernisation and digitalisation strategy. DSP and Allread collaborated to implement the gate automation system, which covers the entire process from optical character recognition (OCR) access control to data management along the Terminal Operating System (TOS). Marco Fehmer, CEO of DSP, said the adoption of last-generation technology is essential for a modern container terminal to stay competitive and offer top quality service.
