Google has introduced an Automation Editor for creating routines in its Google Home app, a step towards streamlining the process. The editor is being rolled out to both iOS and Android versions, but it is not yet comprehensive. It cant yet control thermostats, turn a camera on or off, or set light effects and light colors through the editor. Some home security sensors, including motion sensors, are supported, but door and window sensors are not. However, users can continue to build Personal Routines using the script editor or the previous version of the automated editor.
