Hi everyone ,
I’m excited to be part of this community and learn from the automation experts here.
In India, we’re seeing a rapid shift where industries manufacturing, textiles, food processing, and even SMEs are adopting automation systems like PLCs, VFDs, SCADA, and robotics to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
From my experience working with automation solutions, I’ve noticed a few key benefits:
Energy savings with VFD-based motor control
Increased production consistency through PLC + SCADA integration
Reduced human error in control panel automation
Demand for customized special purpose machinery (SPM) in niche industries
My questions to the group:
What are the biggest challenges you face while adopting industrial automation?
Do you think SMEs can afford to go fully automated, or is it still a big-company game?
Which technologies (AI, IoT, RPA) do you see shaping the next 5 years in automation?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, case studies, or examples.
For anyone interested, I’ve shared some insights and solutions we work on here: RD Automation India
Looking forward to a great discussion with all of you!
