Walmart has signed a contract with Ohio-based Ranpak to install AutoFill systems in five next-generation fulfillment centers. The system will be installed at Walmart fulfillment facilities in Greencastle, Penn., Joliet, Ill., and Stockton, California. The new system uses machine-visioning technology to fill and close boxes, reducing waste and damage to shipped items.
