ABB India has commissioned the ABB Ability™ SCADAvantage platform for THINK Gas Pvt Ltd in 10 states. The platform allows centralized monitoring and automation across the CGD network in India, which includes over 500 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations, approximately 5.5 lakh Domestic Piped Natural Gas connections, and approximately 17,000 inch-km of steel pipelines. The system integrates operations across 19 Geographical Areas (GAs) covering ten states and aims to reduce operator costs by up to 60%. The platform also improves responsiveness, reduce delays, and enhance control across the network. ThINK Gas, formed through the merger of THink Gas and AG&P Pratham, holds 19 CGD licenses awarded by the Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
