Redwood Software, a leader in automation fabric solutions, has released the Enterprise automation index 2025, a comprehensive research report that reveals the current state of enterprise automation and artificial intelligence readiness. The report surveyed 285 automation practitioners across industries, including manufacturing, retail and finance, found that while 73.2% of businesses increased automation investments in the past year, 61.3% admitted their tools were underutilized due to fragmented strategies, siloed implementation and the need for a trusted orchestration partner. The top business priority for 2025 is reducing costs, with 36.6% of organizations reporting that automation has reduced costs by at least 25% or more. Fewer than 6% have achieved end-to-end autonomous automation in any core process. Redwood customers are more likely to fully utilize automation solutions and are more confident in their AI readiness.
