Latham Pools, the largest manufacturer of in-ground residential swimming pools in North America, Australia, and New Zealand, has decided to adopt a new automated assembly line for its steel wall pool panels. The company had been facing a staffing shortage and increased market demand, but decided to incorporate robotics into its operations. In 2023, Latham Pool contacted FANUC authorized system integrator KC Robotics about integrating a robotic pool panel assembly line. The line was designed to create an efficient, less labor-reliant system and allow employees to perform other tasks. The robotic line has created new jobs for Latham and has also improved production of the panels.
